By the way, I was talking in one of my previous posts about how you must be persistent and put effort to make money.
With so much attention on Obama, I had to do something to take advantage on this situation. And that’s the point I was making in my previous post, today it is Obama, yesterday was Paris Hilton, who knows who it will be tomorrow? But that’s a work of everyday, you can’t just find one thing and it’s gonna work forever. You have to search everyday for new opportunities to increase your online business.

Anyway the trick here was to leverage his popularity in order to generate cash.

I went to my sponsor, and set up some pay-per-lead campaigns.
I created a couple of html pages, each one with the affiliate banner for the campaign, and some text talking about Obama, which was easy to find there is so many content written about him.
with subdomains, I had a structure like:

With a page having an quick article about Obama talking about the insurance system. Then in big characters a sentence saying “And you? are you sure you’ve got the right insurance? Take a couple of minutes to do a quick check, it’s FREE and private. A couple of minutes could change your life.”

I was set then, I just needed to get traffic.

So I just used a good traffic source: Youtube!

I created youtube accounts, 5 for each websites. This can be long if you do it manually so I used a script I wrote, Youtube accounts creator. You can get it for free here. Yes you don’t need to pay $40 for those accounts creators, just use mine, it works well

I waited for the day of his inauguration speech. Just ripped the video from a website, and started to edit it.
I cut five interesting 30 seconds clips, then I added at the end of them some text:”want to know what Obama thinks about insurance? go to http://insurance.whyobama.com” etc.
I just had to upload videos on my youtube accounts. Why 5 accounts for each video? Because then I could change the title and description, and tags!!! I just made a quick run into google keywords suggestion to find good ideas.

Then I just had to wait…. Within the first day I already had traffic, some of my videos had good views numbers, some not, but the important is that I got instant traffic.

And that’s it, it was the perfect opportunity, people were going to want to watch videos of Obama. Redirecting the traffic to my sponsored websites was easy. I had leads, and made money while I was sleeping.

The best is that you have important events every week, if you wanted you could do this all the time and getting piles of money.

And don’t forget seasonal subjects… Like tax season coming upon us…

TIP: The superbowl is this weekend, it’s gonna be perfect for this project! Just get ready, it takes a couple of hours to set everything up, you should be rolling quickly!

But that’s not a magical trick, it needs work and dedication if you want to make a lot of money on the long run. If you do it just a couple of times you wll make only a little extra money. When you get the hang of it, go on, do it to the max, that’s the way you’ll get a lot.

And you are still stuck with no idea?

You wish you could go back 3 years ago with your current knowledge, and be able to build the killer website that will make money?

But whatever idea you have, it has already been done and you have no chance to compete with websites that were made years ago.

Here’s a tip.

In case you didn’t know, it is possible to create an exe application from HTML. (Sorry I don’t have the software name in mind and I’m not at home now to find it).

So here’s what you do :

- Pick a popular website idea… e.g. a videos website, a games cheats database, a myspace layouts collection.

- Find the most visited websites for the idea you’ve chosen . Get help from Alexa and Compete (I use Firefox’s free extension called SearchStatus, it displays the Pagerank, Alexa and Compete values for every website you visit). Then copycat what seems to be working, and also steal the best ideas about ads placements.

- Make the page that you will transform into an exe file. This page can simply redirect immediately to your website homepage. Or it can be a custom page if you don’t need a redirection to your whole website.

- Create an exe from this page.

- Create a small installer script, that will create an executable to install your program on the user computer. I like NSIS, a free script-based installer maker written by the guys who made winamp. But you can pick anyone you want.

- And finally submit your final installer to shareware repositories. Give it a name which is composed of keywords.

Let’s say you have made a blog where you post some funny videos from youtube. Call your file “Daily funny videos”, with a description such as “A program that brings you daily doses of funny videos”.

And that’s it, because you put it on the shareware websites, when someone is looking for “funny videos”, he will get all the results of the shareware sites (because they rank high in the SERP) pointing to your exe. And the guy who gets your exe will go to your website. You pass over all the other people who’ve made the same kind of site. And another advantage, it’s better than a bookmark, once the guy has the exe installed on his computer, he’s more likely to come back to your site, rather than having a bookmark lost in dozains of others.

So here you go, just start to list all the “old” ideas of money websites, and see which one you want to implement, and take advantage of the easy instant and free traffic that this method brings.

And an extra tip, what I recommend is to be creative, so instead of creating another myspace layouts website, I’d rather write some online software on the website, and make an exe out of it. You can even steal it if you don’t know how to program.

For instance, you search for an online javascript-based Mortgage estimator. You save the page, edit the HTML to keep only the javascript function and parts of the HTML, you write a new layout around. And you put some Mortgage affiliates links to get commissions! Make an exe from it and you’ve got your Mortgage estimator software to distribute…

Think of all high paying sponsors and try to do a google search on “online calculator” + niche name from the sponsor. You’ll find plenty of ideas.

Some reader asked me a few questions by email, and I eventually gave him most of the info that can make you hit big bucks, IF YOU ARE CONSISTENT, so I thought I could share it with you as well.

Why am I sharing this? Because this is a project that would require 1h per day for 3-6 months before it starts making money, so I know that 99,9% of you won’t do it. But for the braves who dare to put the little effort, you’ll get rewarded a lot.

So the plan is the following:

- Buy one .com domain
- get a $5 shared hosting
- install 10 blogs on subdomains from your .com (Use different templates)
- each one is an adult niche, e.g. : polish teen fetish redheads, polish teen fetish blondes, polish teen fetish brunette, etc.
- put some automatic content, mix it with RSS from sponsors. This can be text, galleries, videos.
- your subdomains link to your main .com, and you main .com is a blog regrouping all niches content (remix it a bit if possible): in my example your main blog would be: “polish teen fetish”
- submit your blog to adult directories, install links exchanges, post links to your blogs
- create and submit TGP/MGP, it still a good source of traffic

And your goal is to rank high enough in the SERP to get organic traffic (which converts much better than free traffic)
To achieve that:
- Buy a couple of .com; To host them, you can either use other paid hosting OR free hosting. The only point is to have each of your website on a different IP
- Create a couple of adult-oriented websites but NOT porn or sex (e.g. talking about partner relationships)
- Get links to those website, it’s easier because it’s not porn, do it the whitehat way so you’ve got hundreds of possibilities.
- The goal? Getting a good number of backlinks, good pagerank on your website. You don’t care if the traffic is good or not, you just care for the backlinks.
- Then when your websites get trusted (high PR, 6 months of existence at least), put on them links to your porn websites. Because it is adult content, the LSI google algorithm won’t penalize you (if you’d put link from a “gardens” or “recipes” website to your porn websites, that’d be a different story…)
- And you will just need a couple of high PR websites linking to your porn website to make it rank high enough, if you’re using some creative niches…

REMEMBER: For the niches… Go deep, don’t take “amateur teen” as a niche, but “amateur first-time blonde shaved teen”… Make a list of keywords to get nice ideas, and mix them…

Let’s break down the work

The one-time setup would be:
- make your porn blogs (install wordpress+SEO+templates+automatic content setup with wp-o-matic)
- make your adult websites (create 10-15 pages from articles/scraped contents, then rewrite/improve the content by hand
- setup links exchanges

Then work everyday at least 30 min. A typical day could be:
- content is automatically created to each blog. no work, just check that your blog is alright.
- create and submit TGP/MGP
- get some manual backlinks to your non-porn websites
- get also a few backlinks to your porn websites, but you don’t need too many, only relevant ones

During the process:
- look if you can automatize tasks through macros programs (Selenium!)
- look at your stats, and refine your porn blog (test banners positions, ads types, etc.)
- find other ways to get traffic

Starting from scratch, try to improve the traffic of your porn blog (read in adult biz forums to get tips), it should take 3-6 months to see any result anyway, then after 6 months, if you were consistent and you see that your porn blogs traffic is good enough, put the links on your non-porn websites, and watch your porn blog traffic rises.

And then, ONLY then, expand your empire to 10 or more other blogs.

Once the system is setup and the traffic is coming, that’s passive income, you can either go to sleep and count the money, or grow your empire, or work on other projects (as I do)

There are probably many details missing in this plan, but basically I listed the important info, for the rest you can find the answers to most of your questions by a simple google search, and of course you can always send me a mail if you have specific questions.

Before trying to get links back to your website or blog, adding content regularly is one the keys to make it successful, no doubt.

The problem is that good content takes time to write.

So here is a shortcut: Using content templates.
Just as you can use a design template to create the look of your website, you can use a content template to create the content.
Even better, you can reuse a good content template to create content for another one of your blogs/websites.

So it is in your interest to create a collection of content templates. There are a lot of application.

Let’s say you have a totally whitehat blog.
You can use a different template every week to quickly write a post. More content, good! And you still write the rest of your website manually.
You take another template and you write an article from it, with your link in it of course, then submit it to a couple of articles directories. It’s a couple of hundreds free links back to your website in a few months!
You could even go further, take a couple of templates, write a nice report from them, transform it in PDF. Good, that’s a report you can give for free on your website in exchange of a contact email, or even sell it for $0.01 on ebay, and make a bit of extra advertising to your website.

Let’s say now you have a blackhat website.
You could automatise the process of using templates. Create unique and non-spammy content out of it.
There are even other possibilities, just use your imagination.

But, hey what is what you call “content template”?
You can get here an example I wrote : Content template example.
It’s the format I use, but of course there is no rule. The point is to have a text file from which you can QUICKLY, create a UNIQUE article, with a good dose of KEYWORDS in it.
As you see in my example, the template contains a bunch of sentences such as the following:

Have you {ever|already} tried {one day|yet|anytime} to {find|search for|bring to light|bump into|discover|come across|get|locate|spot} the {best|greatest|most informative|top|supreme|rocking|top-notch|unmatched|unsurpassed|unparalleled|very best} website about [keyword] ?

When a list of words is between {}, it means one of them has to be chosen. And when there is [keyword], it must be replaced by one term from your list of keywords.
Of course, you’ll have to make a keyword research before you use the template. So if you want to write an article about “cheap insurance”, let’s say you have keywords surch as : “cheap insurance”, “low cost insurance”, “cheap insurance rates” etc.

The above sentence would be transformed from:

Have you {ever|already} tried {one day|yet|anytime} to {find|search for|bring to light|bump into|discover|come across|get|locate|spot} the {best|greatest|most informative|top|supreme|rocking|top-notch|unmatched|unsurpassed|unparalleled|very best} website about [keyword] ?

into:

Have you already tried yet to discover the top-notch website about cheap insurance rates ?

So you can imagine it is very easy to generate one full article in a couple of minutes from one template.

But then, you are probably already thinking “Cool, but the hard work is to create templates!”.
Not at all, it is quite easy to create a template if you follow the same procedure as me.

First you need to write an article. Yep sorry, you have to write at least once. It is tiring, you may not like it, but think of it as an invesment. Spending half an hour writing an article will give you the possibility of generating dozains of unique articles out of it.

Just take one subject, ok let’s say again “cheap insurance”, and let’s do a little calculation. We want a 5% of keyword density into the article. So for 400 words, you’re going to put your keyword 20 times in the article. (Remember that keyword density calculation changes according to search engines, so that’s a rough guess. You might want to check it later with one of the various tools that exist online).

I’ll give one article I wrote as an example using this keyword: click here.

If it is too difficult to write an article for a specific keyword, you can try to write a generic post talking about something unknown. Take “XXXXX”, and try to write some sentences like this:
“You’ve just got some problem about XXXXX. Or perhaps you want to change and check if there are other XXXXX possibilities?
Maybe you just want to have a look at XXXXX, nothing more. No matter what your desire is, you will find you can be overwhelmed with the variety of choices! Snap out of it, XXXXX can be easy to find if you look at the right place, the one I am going to tell you.”

When your article is written, the fun starts. Open first a thesaurus, there is this one I like http://thesaurus.reference.com/, but you can choose your own, there are many available.
The process is to start taking every word in your article and search synonyms for them. This way you can rewrite your article piece by piece.

E.g., for the sentence:

Have you already tried yet to discover the top-notch website about cheap insurance rates ?

it becomes first:

Have you {ever|already} tried yet to discover the top-notch website about cheap insurance rates ?

then:

Have you {ever|already} tried {one day|yet|anytime} to discover the top-notch website about cheap insurance rates ?

then:

Have you {ever|already} tried {one day|yet|anytime} to {find|search for|bring to light|bump into|discover|come across|get|locate|spot} the top-notch website about cheap insurance rates ?

etc. until:

Have you {ever|already} tried {one day|yet|anytime} to {find|search for|bring to light|bump into|discover|come across|get|locate|spot} the {best|greatest|most informative|top|supreme|rocking|top-notch|unmatched|unsurpassed|unparalleled|very best} website about cheap insurance rates ?

And finally the article will look like this.

You’re almost done. Now, check your keyword density if you want, and finally replace your keyword by a general tag (e.g. [keyword]).

The final content will be like this:

So that’s it, you can create a bunch of templates really quickly, and you’ll be able to reuse those templates for many occasions.

If you watch porn regularly, this project is not for you, and I don’t advise you even try it.
Because for this project you will be required to visit several porn websites, get pictures and videos, and you might end up being “distracted” instead of working if you’re already a porn appreciator.

So what is this project? Again, like every project I do, it is a money-generating machine, that you will have to set-up once, and then spend a minimum amount of time to keep it bringing money.
The idea is to setup a blog that will be filled with adults affiliate programs, and then create high quality traffic so your affiliate programs will have a good conversion ratio.
By high-quality traffic, I mean organic traffic from search engines, which is highly targeted. On a next post I might talk about the black way, which is based on more traffic and more blogs, but of course of lower quality. Just know that my first experiment with black-hat didn’t give as good results as with the following one. For some reason (!), people get more offended if you spam them with links to porn than if you do the same for some insurance or cheap medicine.
The gray-hat I am going to describe requires a bit more effort on the begin, but has the advantage of requiring less work on the long run, because once you will have setup your website, it will stick much longer.

So let’s start:

1st step : Choose your affiliate
——————————–
You’re going to make one blog about a specific niche. Don’t try to fill a blog with many varieties : lesbian, porn stars, amateur… Choose only ONE program to start. You can select two or three girls/boys in that program, to mix a little bit, but not more. Let’s take it easy. You can (and will) setup other blogs, one for each niche, and eventually you can make some good money if you start to have a network of 30-40 blogs. A friend started last year to make 1 blog per week. He put a lot of effort because he didn’t know/think of the shortcuts I describe in this post (be sure he uses them now), anyway he has currently around 60 blogs, and he’s making a solid $5K a month.

I have a list of good programs, this is part of the resources I will provide you if you want to do this project. It is described at the end of this post.

Open a text editor and note, for every program you subscribe:

• login/password

• URL on the program’s website to see your stats/earnings

• URL of their promotional content :

– if there is a RSS feed, use it in PRIORITY * if there are some hosted galleries, note the URLs of the galleries you like to promote.

– if you can generate yourself some promotional pages, do it as you like, and note the URLs

– If you have only files to download, then put them somewhere on your website, and note the URL of the page you have created

• your affiliate link

In any case, you don’t need to spend TOO MUCH time on it, there is usually so much content that you want to grab something you think it will sell well (so preferably some nice looking girls/boys). My advice : do a quick scan, and note the 3/4 girls/boys that catch your attention. Then get some URLs for each of these girls/boys.

You want to have at the end something around 150 pics/videos, so it could be 10 galleries of 15 pictures for instance. If you like, get it more, but you don’t need to spend too much time on it, and getting 300 pics is already a lot.
If you don’t have RSS, no worries, you will get your HTML URLs converted to RSS with a tool I have written especially to do that (also in the resources at the end of the post).

2nd step : Create your blog
—————————
I expect that you already have some hosting, and know how to install a blog. If not, don’t go further, and do your homework. Spending a few dollars to get some basic hosting and a domain name is the essential first step to make money online.

I recommend that you install a wordpress blog, because it is very efficient, search engines love them, and you will use a wordpress plugin that is essential to automatize everything. Do not try to get it indexed yet, and do not put google ads.
Find a nice template, if you don’t know where to start, do a google search on “free adult theme wordpress”. You can personalize the template by changing the top picture and putting a picture you got in the free content from your affiliate program. You could even do that with the default Wordpress template, and change a few colours in the CSS file.
Add in your blog some stats tracker script (urchin, statcounter, etc.), I will never repeat it enough: tracking is ESSENTIAL for any project, because you want to know what it working, and what is not. And when you do something which is working, just do it more!!!

Among the usual settings of your wordpress install, I always use the following:

• Of course, clean the default install shit : remove default posts, comments, blogroll and categories.

• In the Options -> Discussion, you don’t want to let anyone posting comments or trackbacks, because you don’t want to have to look after the blog if some spammers are starting to comment-spam and put links to other websites .

• In Options -> Writing, instead of pingomatic, I like to use blogflux, as it pings more places : http://pinger.blogflux.com/rpc/

• Options -> Permalinks, this one is also important for search engines, I always use the Custom structure with : /%postname%. This will give the post title in the URL (more keywords stuffed there)

• Final install: THE MOST IMPORTANT : The plugin wp-o-matic. See in the resources/Download my EXTENDED version there. This great plugin will post articles automatically in wordpress from RSS feeds you choose; so you don’t have to take care of writing on your blog.

Install wp-o-matic : use my EXTENDED version as I put there the special sauce to be able to REWRITE the feeds contents to something that will not be penalized as duplicate. If not, you can use the normal version, but you might get some posts going dupe.
Go inside wordpress, Plugins section and ACTIVATE the plugin, but don’t set any option yet, we’ll do that later. Be careful, there will be a message to test if SimplePie works with your server: test it and if it doesn’t work, FIX IT! And if you don’t know how to fix it, CHANGE OF HOSTING! Simplepie should be able to run by default on any decent server.
Please note, I have no connection at all with the guy who did the plugin, but I can tell you this plugin is really great and I ask you to give a donation to the guy who wrote it, even a few $, because this kind of stuff is as powerful as what other people sell for hundreds of $$$, yes HUNDREDS. And this guy give it for FREE so please encourage him! If not now, the day you make your first $100, go give him something.

3rd step: Add your own sauce

This is where you will make the difference to make your blog successful. Do not worry though, you might not be perfect the first time, actually you shouldn’t care too much, just do it, then do another blog, and after a few blogs you’ll start getting better. As I said before, you should develop a network of at least 20 blogs if you want to make serious money. But at least try to make 5-10 blogs. Don’t stop on the first one, it might fail, and probably it will, but on your fifth blog you will get much better. Allow yourself a few hours to make one blog, then one or two weeks later, make a second one. You should be able to make 10 blogs in 3-4 months, and then start to make some decent dollars!!!

So what is our plan again? Having a blog on autopilot, which will make money through adult affiliate programs, and which will get natural traffic (no blackhat) so your conversion ratio will not be crappy. One part of the traffic will come from search-engines, and for that you want to have good quality content.
As we have 150 pictures/videos from the affiliate program ready to post, we can make a quick calculation there:
It would be nice to have the blog run on autopilot for at least 9 months. People are talking about the sandbox effect, and no one knows the real truth, but from my personal experience, I have seen that after 6 months, my traffic on any website (which is not banned from google) increases noticeably. So, yes you can get indexed in google in less than 48h, you can get good traffic immediately, but I don’t believe you will get the taste of the real effectiveness of your website before 6 months. So I like the 9 months period because it allows you to track your stats on 6 months, then see the changes, and play during 3 months, and get a good and simple analysis: does it work? If not, is there something you can do to improve it? If it still doesn’t work, is it time to dump it?

So let’s assume that we do one post of 4 pics a week. We have enough pics for 36 weeks (9 months).
We would like to have more than one post a week, so let’s say we add 1-2 additional post every week, we need then to prepare 50 posts.
Too much? Yes if you do the normal way, no if you do like I did: You can setup everything in a couple of hours, let’s just break things down.

• Let’s post some erotic stories : it’s easy to find 15 stories on erotic stories archives, that we can reuse.

• Let’s put some nice videos : youtube is full of videos, easy to find some with hot girls, even if it is not porn, who cares as long as it is erotic. Say 20 videos

• Hand-types content, full of keywords, so it helps you with the search engines. let’s say 15, you don’t want to type too much here, so you will use some templates, do some keyword research and fill the blanks.

Time to work!
1) do a google search on “erotic stories archive”, or look in Google groups in one of the groups belonging to “alt.sex.stories”, you will find plenty of material. Or find some adult articles inside article directories. Just remember, copy only the text in a file, and do not forget to put the reference to the author at the end of the story. You should have 15 text files (15 stories). Eventually we want to cut every story in 3 pieces because they are quite long and we can make easily 3 post out of each story. But the automated posting script will do that for you.

2) go to youtube, and search for some generic terms like “hot girl” “strip-tease” “handsome” “tits” “boobs”. Select videos that are more than a few months old. When you find a nice video, copy the Embed code and paste it in a new text file. Look at related videos, it might be a bit difficult to find a good video at first, but once you found one, you can usually find more good videos in the “related” box. And of course you can choose some other sites than youtube…
You should have at the end something like 20 embed codes in a text file.

3) do the usual keyword research around some terms related to the affiliate program. if you don’t want to do it by hand, I have written a nice script that gets me a few hundreds optimized keywords related to one keyword I enter. It uses the using similar techniques than many other keywords programs but I did it because that’s a fast and easy way to get a good list of keywords. See the resources section at the end.
In any case, you should limit your search to more or less 300 keywords.

Then you’re going to create 15 text files, each one with some original content.
You will use 15 templates. Every template will help you to quickly write a unique post, with a good keyword density in it.
You take your template, you just insert some of the keywords you found, then finalize the content so you can have one unique post. Of course for each text you want to use a different template.
I give you one example of a template you can write (see resources section). The idea is to write yourself 15 different templates, so you can reuse them for each blog you make.
Maybe you don’t want to write 15 templates for your first blog, as it is quite long, so write 5 templates for your first blog, and generate 15 posts out of them.

Tired already?
At this point, you should have:
- 15 text files with stories
- 1 text file with 20 videos embedded code
- 15 text files with unique content.

You’ve finished with the biggest part of the blog setup.
This is now that you’ll setup wp-o-matic, and put the RSS feeds from your contents. If your RSS is setup properly, wp-o-matic will create posts automatically for you, and your blog will grow daily, like if it was written by a human.

The structure of your blog posts is very simple, every week you have 6 posts:
- Monday: 1/3 of a story
- Tuesday: 1 video with affiliate link
- Wednesday: 1/3 of a story
- Thursday: 1 post with affiliate program gallery + affiliate link
- Friday: 1/3 of a story
- Saturday: 1 text of unique content with affiliate link

Of course you can experiment and use your own pattern.
But you might say: Hey, if I have to setup a blog with posts for 9 months, that’s a lot of posts to create, even if I just do some copy/paste. (Yes that’s more than 200 posts to create). And indeed I don’t advise you to do it manually. That’s where I have coded some scripts to do the stuff.
My scripts takes the whole set of contents, slightly rewrites it so it doesn’t go duplicate, yet still looks totally natural. Then it create a RSS feed out of it. You guess the following. With the RSS auto poster plugin wp-o-matic, you just need to set it up once so it posts automatically from the RSS feed. Then you don’t have to touch your blog in the next 9 months… Every day, a new post will appear on your blog, and ping services will be notified… Voila, is on autopilot!

4th step: Grow your blog traffic. The 5 minutes a day workout

You’re not done yet. You want to get natural targeted traffic, and you don’t want to try to game search engines, because you’re already gaming them by creating a blog that looks legit and that is not. It’s like with sport, if you spend 5 minutes everyday, you’ll end up being fit and lean. Or you can do intensive workouts before the summer, then grow fat again after only two months. The same with search engines, you can drop 1000 blackhat links but it’s not gonna be a long term solution. So I would advise you to get links in a “natural” manner. Never get more than 10-30 links a day. And NEVER the same amount the next day!
To get you started, I give you a friendly adult blog directory :

But of course I encourage you to start getting links whatever way you can, as long as they are RELEVANT and looks NON-SPAMMY.
If you do a google search on the term “viagra”, you will see that among the highest results, some pages have not many backlinks. Usually they have backlinks from high authority websites, or even better, they are on high authority websites. That’s simple, if you manage to get 100 high quality backlinks within 6 months (that’s getting only 1 link every 2 days), you will already climb up in TOP10 for long tail keywords. That’s why having erotic stories and unique content full of specific terms is good to get targeted traffic. You don’t want to try to fight against high competition keywords.
Do a google search on “adult directory”, spend a few hours selecting a hundred of places where you can submit your directory, and keep that list to reuse for each of your blogs. That sounds pretty basic, yet it is simple and efficient, and if you spend 5 minutes a day submitting your blog to those directories, you’ll create a very good backlink value. Everybody is searching how to have their website on Google Top 10 by some magical script, but believe me, creating such magical script requires more work than simply submitting your blog to directories the old fashioned way.
You could want to create a whole machinery to make any of your websites rank high with just one click, but the time you would spend to make it is valuable if you intend to create hundreds of websites. In this project we want to limit our network to human figures. We just want to take a few shortcut so we have less effort, but at the end, the goal is to create some blogs that will stick.
So, getting high quality backlinks is really important, still it doesn’t stop you to get more backlinks the black way, as long as you don’t abuse it.
I wouldn’t advise to go totally blackhat like spamming links everywhere you can. Instead, you can throw your links in a few places which seem legit, but can be automatized, or at least done quickly by hand.
Here are a few ideas to explore:
- comment spam nicely social networks (not myspace but the others)
- participate to adult forums (a few posts with your link in your signature don’t hurt, and you might actually find interesting information in those places)
- abandoned sites
- submit your RSS feed, e.g. : http://www.rss-network.com/submitrss.php
- add a comment to any DoFollow blog, the URL of your website being a friendly page of your blog and not one full of nasty pics, you just want a link!
- spam a non watched open wiki
- XSS (still works if done right)
- images search engines traffic abusing

In any case, as you don’t want your blog to get banned so the only rule is to drop your link IN A PLACE and IN A WAY that are sure NOT TO ANNOY PEOPLE. And again, don’t go for too much volume at once. Better spread it over months, and see your traffic rise.
My advice is to do it manually for your first blogs. It will ask half an hour every day, and you should note every place you submit. Write your own list somewhere, in an excel sheet or a text file, with URLs, comments, experiments, refine it, make it easy to be used by a 5 years-old so you can outsource it later. You don’t want to waste time on dropping links, so the day you start to make money out of your first blogs, you can invest part of the money into tedious tasks of creating other blogs. I always have a rule: My goal is not to find a way to make $10 from my work. My goal is to work to find a way to make $10 by paying someone else to do it. It sounds nice to think you make $1000 a day by doing everything yourself, but to me it sounds nicer to find a way to make $1000, that I can delegate to other people I pay, even if it means that I would lose $500 in the process, because then I can make 2, 3, 5, 10 more people work and make more money with even less effort.

The final word: How to REALLY make it

I know you’re going to read this post and think “That’s a nice idea”, and you are not going to try it. And then you’ll go back dreaming of money you would like to make from the Internet, quitting your job, buying a nice car, etc.
But hey, everything is explained here, you just have to spend a few hours every week for the next months. Would you like to get an additional $100 a month to spend guilt-free? And what about an additional $500? And what about $1000? With this project you could end up getting even much more on the long run, but at least start it and get involved for the next 6 months, then you’ll see the results.

I have started to write a new post to describe another money-generating project I worked on during the last months, and because it starts to give me good results, I wanted to share my experiment with you. It turns out that it is quite a long post because I am detailing it throughly so you can’t fail if you follow the instructions… And again I am going to share some of my script I am using for this project… I am currently “cleaning” the scripts so you can reuse them easily.

This project idea came from a friend who has been doing it over a year and he makes now around $5k a month, except he did everything the classical/manual/white way and he was quite surprised to discover that I could do things much more efficiently with a bit of automation, some out-of-the-box thinking, and some “gray” strategies. I can tell you that now he is doing the way I explained him

Just know this project doesn’t require any coding skill (as I will provide the necessary scripts), and it is working quite well because thanks to the gray/black thinking, you would have a big advantage upon people trying to do the same. But it is not for everyone as it is related to the “adult industry” and if you are allergic to the “adult” business, you will not like this project!

I never used Zango, instead I tried my own “recipes” to make cash out of those screensavers.

- Other Pay-per-install
I tried another pay-per-install program called Rasermedia. I have to say that the guys were pretty cool, but quite demanding. They give you their program to install (as an exe or a dll) and they ask you to get it installed at least 20 times a day. The payout is not very good ($0.10 per install) but the biggest problem is that their program got flagged as a virus (even with my free antivirus!) just after a few weeks. This means that everytime somebody installed one of my screensavers, Rasermedia’s program got detected by the antivirus! With more than 200 screensavers installs per day, I quickly fell under the 20 rasermedia installs per day and then my account got deactivated. Everything happened within a month… I never got paid! I don’t hold anything against them though. I understood that their routine is to create an exe, have it installed as much as possible and as quickly as possible, then after a few weeks, their exe get detected as a virus and they have to create another one. Which means that you need to have a very high daily number of installs if you want to make good money out of it. And you will need to re-create your setup file every month or so, and re-submit it so the update is detected by shareware repositories… So I don’t think it is feasible. I bet that promoting Rasermedia would be good if done an automated way, but definitely not with screensavers.

- Install a Personalized Google Homepage
By changing some value in the Windows Registry, you can set the Internet Explorer default homepage to the URL you want.
So the idea is to login to your Adsense account, create a personalized Search Box, and include it on a page on your server, and set the user’s default homepage to your “Search” page. This way the user will have your own Google search on his default homepage, and everytime he will do a search with it, if he clicks on ads, you will get part of the revenue. This method is easy but be careful, in order to avoid legal problems, during the setup you should clearly indicates to the user that he is going to have his default homepage changed. He must also have the option to refuse it.
This method works, but will not bring you a lot of money. Obviously, most users will change their homepage back to something else, but the good point is that the ones who will not do it will probably use it for months (Until their Windows needs to be reinstalled ).
From experience, it is way much better not to design your search page in a too complicated manner. Put your logo, the Google Search box, and a few links to some affiliates for a bit of extra cash. Fon’t try to imitate iGoogle or Yahoo homepages: Trying to make something difficult will not bring you more money, it will just take you more time.

- Open a page full of ads at the end of the screensaver’s install.
That is easy, and you should do it. Put as much ads as you can was my tactic, and make it as ugly as possible so the user will want to navigate away from the page quickly, by clicking on some ads. You might laugh but it does work. I even used the page to put some banners for my other websites! A little free advertising is never bad!

- White-Hat monetization strategy
I didn’t do it, but if I had some whitehat website, I would create a few relevant screensavers, and host them on my whitehat website.
Add an opening page at the end of the install (as described just before), not displaying ads, but redirecting to you website. Maybe going to a well-crafted landing page to make the user feel like discovering more of your website. That’s also an easy way to build some links, as when you will submit your screensaver to software repositories, you will get free backlinks from them.
You can even use your screensavers to create further promotion. Let’s say you have a website about trading stocks. You take Excel, and make nice charts for each of the stock market indices : Dow jones, NASDAQ, MSCI, etc. Then you take screenshots of them and create a screensaver. You put it on your website, and go to Digg and write a news : “Forget about screensavers of Paris Hilton, the traders have their screensaver of stock market indices”, which links to your website. That’s it, free, catchy and non-spammy advertising for your website!

- Grey-Hat monetization strategy
Use the method of changing the user’s default homepage to your grey-hat website, and make money out of it. I don’t advise you do it for a pure black-hat website, because if a user has to see a black-hat spammy homepage everytime he opens internet Explorer, you can bet he is going to find a way to change it. If you offer him some white hat, it will not be spammy, but changing somebody’s homepage is disputable (even if Google themselves do it), so it might hurt your website reputation. This is why my choice would be to create some non-spammy yet automatically-created website, and force the use to have it as his homepage.
But why would you create some grey-hat website? That’s part of the 40,000 pageviews per month strategy to quit your job. I explain there why you should have some automatic method to generate visitors traffic. You could use some Black-hat method to do it but you will then get your websites dropped quickly and have to create new ones everytime. If you can create some grey-hat website, which are not spammy enough to get dropped, you will add the visitors pageviews, and remember, the more your screensavers get installed, the more visitors you get, and these visitors will add up to eventually reach this 40,000 figure!

- My own Black-Hat monetization strategy
